Why Should You Choose a Comfort Height Toilet?

Why Should You Choose a Comfort Height Toilet?

Have you ever wondered what is meant by the term comfort height toilet? (I know, weird subject). When I worked at Home Depot as a Kitchen/Bath Designer I often helped customers in the plumbing aisles. One thing that I would always suggest when a customer was looking at buying a new toilet, or water closet as it is called in the Architectural Industry, was to look at buying a comfort height toilet.

Why Should You Choose a Comfort Height Toilet?

A comfort height toilet is one that is just a little bit higher than a regular toilet. (An average residential toilet is between 14" and 16" tall). The height of a comfort height seat can be found anywhere between 17" and 19" high. The best seat height is right at 18" but if you found a toilet that you really liked its features such as it will never clog or it is a low flow toilet then I would go with a height as close to the 18" as possible.

So, why make the Comfort choice? Because it is much easier getting on and off You do not have to have limited mobility either to appreciate the higher seat. It is easier on the legs while sitting if the seat is in the higher range. Of course, the size of the person using the bathroom should be considered if possible: if Aunt Mable is 4'-10", the Comfort Height would probably not provide comfort. Accessible limitations should be considered too.

Another good choice when choosing a new toilet is to choose the elongated bowl because it fits the shape of the human body more naturally than the round seat. The round bowl is reminiscent of out-houses. So, with those thoughts in mind, if you are remodeling your bathroom, consider your vast selection of toilet choices and consider those that are or will be using the toilet. It is easier to plan for the future and make some comfort choices now rather than having to do it later. If you have any questions or comments, please let me know. Take care.

House Plans in 3D - The Easy Way to Choose

In your search for house plans for your future home, perhaps you've spend many hours over long periods of time staring at countless squiggly lines, back and forth, back and forth, from one plan to another. And after all is said and done, and you think you've found the ideal floor plan, do you really know what it's going to look like when it's finally built? Can you make the transition from the printed floor plan to a picture in your mind of the shapes and forms? Are you able to see the 2-dimensional floor plan in 3D?

Not being able to properly visualize a construction floor plan is a problem many future homeowners experience. They can't visualize the final product and the outcome can range from total disappointment in their new home to costly construction changes during the building phase.

The majority of clients with whom we worked in the past found the most difficult part of building a new home to be the visualization process. They knew what they liked but couldn't make the connection with a 2-dimensional drawing. This is where 3-dimensional interior views of the proposed floor plan can be extremely valuable.

House Plans in 3D - The Easy Way to Choose

3D views help to visualize the floor plan, to understand what the space will feel like. They can give you a sense of the proportion and relationships in the depth. 3 dimensional views have the added benefit of communicating to you what it would be like to be in that space. You get to try it on for size, look and feel.

3D perspective images can give a better indication for the ceiling heights and volume of space; giving a good idea of what the rooms will be like once the house is built. It is a good idea to try to search for house plans that include 3d perspective views not only of the exterior but for each important interior area or room as well. Even if the décor is not your style you can get a feel for the size, dimensions, scale and ambience of the space.

Consider for example a plan of a cathedral ceiling living room with an open floor plan; a 3-dimension image will portray a much clearer sense of how each room will relate to one another. This is not easily apparent from 2 dimensional plans.

3D images can point out unfavorable views as well. For example, a floor plan with a beautiful and gracious foyer opening directly ahead to a sumptuous living room may give no indication to the untrained eye that the powder room, conveniently located nearby, also provides an unsightly view of the toilet as guests enter the foyer. But, with a 3 dimensional image for this room you get a more realistic view in order to make a well informed decision as to whether or not the sight of a toilet off the foyer is acceptable; and thereby save the unnecessary cost of plan modifications or structural changes while building.

3D views help in allowing you to see how one space relates to another, how its aesthetic visual flow defines the ambience. You can get a better sense of whether or not the space is too confining or much too vast. House plan 3d images can show if there are points of interest in a floor plan to carry the eye on a welcoming journey into the home or if the views are immediately blocked giving the feeling of a claustrophobic maze.

These are some of the many helpful aspects associated with house plans in 3D, ultimately making your choice so much easier. In conjunction with the floor plan, 3D images can greatly facilitating your search for the right house plan for your future home.

How to Choose Best Paper Towel Dispenser

A Paper towel dispenser is one that contains and manually dispenses rolls of paper. Installing a towel dispenser doesn't require too much of an effort. It's an easy task, but you must employ some precision to ensure the implement hangs correctly in an accessible place. There are various sizes and shapes based on the amount of space available in the washrooms. Similarly, various resources and materials are available and used to make washroom dispensers. There are controlled and non-controlled tissue dispenser options available in various designs and mounting choices. Standard size towel dispensers are also available as well as models that allow holding larger rolls.

You can definitely be able to find that towel dispenser model and size that works best for your washroom with the amount of space available. Some common types of dispensers include those for tri-fold paper towels, for large institutional rolls of towel paper, for paper cups, for napkins or for the paper towels on a roll that are often found in commercial restrooms. In order to dispense paper towels, one must first determine whether the towels feed from the center of the roll and thus pull straight down, or whether the entire roll spins so that the roll becomes smaller and smaller as the outside layers are peeled away.

The trick in the dispensing of almost any type of paper product is to allow access to enough of the product that it's usable while preventing excess product from spinning off the central core and thus wasted. towel dispensers are a common type of crank dispenser. Paper napkins found on restaurant tables in a dispenser are usually spring loaded so that the packet of tri-fold napkins, for instance presses against the front of the holder. You also get a choice in attractive designs and colors. Moreover, they also appear neat and have a clean look. The size and model you need to install will again depend on the space available in the washroom. Many models can help save valuable space in areas that don't have a lot of extra room.
